Climbing and Abseiling The best climbing and abseiling is to be found in the old limestone quarries and natural crags along the southern rim of the National Park, and to supplement the outdoor venues we also have some of the best indoor climbing facilities in the UK. The Welsh International Climbing Centre near Merthyr Tydfil has a 17 metre high wall with overhangs up to 8 metre high, offering over 2000 square metres of climbing surface with 200 pitches. Llangorse Rope Centre is a superb facility with 300 square metre of indoor natural rock surface with pitches for all levels of experience and all ages. They have special walls for children and beginners. The Rope Centre also offers abseiling, pot holing, rope climbing, zip line and high wire.
